Foundation Courses
Our six-week Foundation Course is designed for complete beginners and anyone who hasn’t practised Iyengar yoga before.
It’s an ideal introduction, starting with basic postures and principles, and building on what you learn each week. After six sessions, you’ll feel confident about attending regular Beginners classes, which are offered daily throughout the year.
Students describe the course as “thorough and methodical” and “a sensible entrée” to regular practice. “I felt invigorated,” one said. “My body and I are back on friendly terms.” Another said he “really enjoyed [it] and will now continue once a week.” For someone else, completing the course instilled “a mixture of pride in and gratitude to myself for making the effort.”
The Foundation Course costs £66 for six 75-minute sessions and includes a three-month membership and two free Beginners classes (worth £43.50). You can attend any of the courses that are ongoing, so if you miss one of your regular classes, you can always make it up another day.
