Partly filmed in black & white and partly in early colour, this is a classic silent composite of rare footage of BKS Iyengar in his prime, effortlessly demonstrating many advanced postures. You will also see Professor Krishnamacharya, Iyengar's own teacher, demonstrating asana and pranayama techniques.

Masterclass

A 3 hour video featuring BKS Iyengar teaching a class. The teaching is extremely detailed with in-depth explanation of the asanas, and is good for teaching purposes. It contains the principle standing and inverted postures with BKS Iyengar demonstrating the poses and instructing and correcting the students. Interspersed with the asanas he answers questions of general interest. The tape offers a rare opportunity to learn from him at first hand.
